Sometimes….
I can get in to these weird funks. It’s like I don’t want to do anything but I want to do everything at the same time. It’s like I need to do something, to have something. My inside is looking for something. I think sometimes it forgets that it has everything. My heart can forget the river of living water that batters it over and over again.
Divorce me,’untie or break that knot again,
Take me to you, imprison me, for I,
Except you’enthrall me, never shall be free,
Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.
Nothing else, save You ravish me. Come ravish this forgetful heart. Hallelujah come.

I want this. My life would be so much more simple.

Living Waters
1 But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
2 When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
3 For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom;
I gave Ethiopia[a] and Seba in your place.
4 Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.5 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
I will gather you and your children from east and west.
6 I will say to the north and south,
‘Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel
from the distant corners of the earth.
7 Bring all who claim me as their God,
for I have made them for my glory.
It was I who created them.’Isaiah 43:1-7

Have You Ever Been Alone with God? (1)When they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples —Mark 4:34
Our Solitude with Him. Jesus doesn’t take us aside and explain things to us all the time; He explains things to us as we are able to understand them. The lives of others…

Come Like You Promised - Ascend the Hill
I have a new found respect for these guys. This is their bio/statement…
More than a band, more than songs craftily arranged by musicians, more than a group of dudes running after their dreams. Ascend The Hill exists for a purpose far greater than our own selfish endeavors…we exist to make much of the name of Jesus. Without Him in our midst we’re just another social gathering, and we’re wasting our time.
A.W. Tozer said, “thirsty hearts are those whose longings have been wakened by the touch of God within them.” Our desire is that every person who comes in contact with our music will have the opportunity to be “wakened by the touch of God,” and will never be the same for it.
The ministry and anointing that has been entrusted to Ascend The Hill is that of:
RESTORATION – preparing a spotless bride for Christ
&
RECONCILIATION – bringing the gospel of Jesus to the lostIt is our conviction that through the power of His presence, and the gospel of Jesus Christ preached in every gathering – this world will experience an awakening.
